Once Upon A Time ...

He was Mom's best friend.  Today she speaks of him sadly, only as "Jabberwocky," and points to a tiny figurine, a Christmas ornament that has lost IT's head from falling so many times from a cup on her desk.  She tells her friends and her children that without his trust and the gifts of his hospitality and husbandry she would never have written the book or "George's Business."
