Beauty

... is in the picture and text that Ashley Dawn sent me this morning for Mother's Day.  The day had started at about 2 AM when I was A Wake, eager to share my thoughts and write.  My thoughts are never far from Lamar where most of my children live.  By 5 AM I was listening to KCME and driving to the local Village Inn.  I shared the joy of this Mother's Day with friends "for reals" and talked of planting roses at Bette and Sterling's grave.  These were my father's best friends outside of Lisa's family.
