Grandad has been recovering his strength after a setback that occurred when his daughter and her husband announced their hope to move back to Kansas -- making clear that they were in Colorado only waiting for his death. It is a hard truth that is repeated in families throughout the developed world. The accumulation of property creates a burden for the young. Many, like Grandad's children, are glad to shoulder this burden as a responsibility that gives them joy.
Mom has been working with Grandad's intention to live as long as he can and to minimize with her own children their burden and responsibility for disposing of property that they don't want.
