Letters

Mom [Carolyn Ruth or GranCCY -- DEPENDING ON YOUR GENERATION AND RELATIONSHIP to her] has been writing letters since she was three years old.  According to the stories she remembers her grandmother telling, her grandfather taught their first born granddaughter before she was able to walk or talk.  This Lenten Friday morning, Grandad found Mom contemplating the word WINDOWS as she meditated on the light emanating from a large screen television in a house across the alley a block away.  She thought about a book that Bill Gates's father had written and the interview that these two grown men had granted Charlie Rose.

The truth of a person's stories has been passed from generation to generation in just this way since the very beginning of time.  Simply put, there are some facts of history that can be learned only by listening to your parents and grandparents.  The most important of these facts may be what your parents (and teachers) have learned from you.
