Celebrating Our Independence

Mom's eldest daughter dropped in to talk with Ruth at dawn.  The two women made specific plans to celebrate:

1. Their independence today.
2. The daughter's birthday next week.
3. PETS next weekend.

Next weekend they plan to explore once again the legend of buried treasure near Chama.  As her daughter left, Mom remarked to Grandad, "I'm just beginning to learn how short I am; she has grown so tall!  Look at her.  She's become a power walker!"
