Hey kids, Was that a Freudian slip? The author's name is Doris Kearns GOODWIN!

I definitely recommend this book to my children and grandchildren. IT may be coincidence that Lincoln's inauguration fell on my baby girl's birthday, more than 100 years before, in fact, but I have chosen to believe that there is purpose driving the stream of HIStory. Ruth

We were talking, this morning, about how God laughs when Ruth reminded me of a statement, written in my own hand, that I had found in my old files and placed on the desktop where we write our letters. "I smile 'cause you're my brother; I laugh 'cause there's nothin' you can do about it." Ruth told me that this is how she feels about her #1 daughter.
