McTwisty

We live in a world turned upside-down and backwords (sic).  Mom's children will recall going down the street singing, "Aunt Bob & Uncle Sue."  We retold the story recently while visiting with family.

This blog post began as a letter to my #1 daughter who named herself "McTwisty" when writing on Facebook. While visiting Aunt Sue in Albuquerque recently, my younger daughter recalled the incident described. I have called this younger daughter "Missy" when answering questions. See the public Q&A page at RainbowWay.org.

McTwisty's story of confusion and anger is a common one that I have seen played out many times in the dust bowl history of the lower ARKansas Valley region of Colorado. I have watched the story evolve from my station (i.e. George's business) at 1000 Elm in Rocky Ford. Our children have been driven to run away, even join gangs, by the divisions in our society and the dishonoring of parents in our schools.
