Grandad Takes Charge

Grandad has taken charge of selling his house.
  • Thursday @ 4 AM MST, CRS was up.  As usual she had tended to the plants and animals and had planned the day with a breakfast of gummies before making herself a cup of hot mocha and opening this laptop keyboard to write.  We are with Grandad in his hew home enjoying a spring time filled with sunshine, flowers, robins, rabbits, and roadrunners.
  • This weekend will be filled with work alternating with restful naps as Grandad gets his house ready to put on the Realtor's Market!

Loving October!

... but hating to see the notice from Google about the need to study further regulations imposed by Europeans taking the fun out of doing this.  Covenant Programs is giving way to R'SON.

March Forth!

I AM RUTH LETTING MY FINGERS DO THE TALKING.  They do serious play on a computer keyboard.  They connect my mind to the outside world through what is known in this year, 2015, as social media.  They explore a world of living history and cultures that have been lost since the original Song of Ruth was written into the library that, today, we call The Bible.  My mind is filled with purpose -- the purpose taught by The Great Spirit of The Covenant and the memory of GOOD FRIDAY.

As I write, I am mindful of conflict and war going out of style.  I'm mindful of continuing suffering.  I'm mindful of children and the poor, homelessness and abuse.  I am mindful of abandonment on the part of parents, and I'm mindful of the love of my heavenly father that shines through modern social institutions.  I WONDER; who will join me?

Monday

We two docs have a daily routine, each of us, separately and together.  It secures our happiness in this new world.  I, Carolyn Ruth (CRx), am the writer of Dexter's biography on Facebook.  This morning I awoke to thoughts of how I MUST separate myself (Ruth) from the process.  As a retired psychologist (Carolyn), I know how -- and am skilled at doing this.

9 March 2015I have succeeded.  Today, as I finish doing my laundry, I am able to celebrate the anniversary of my wedding day.

Saturday Resting

While TRIAD serves one of Dexter's computers, Dexter is restingRuth, however, continues to play on his keyboard.  Ruth is Dexter's PERSONAL friend and companion.  She works with Carolyn, a retired psychologist, professional computer geek, and CEO of Covenant Programs, Incorporated to advertise certain local, middle class family owned businesses such as Bob's Upholstery, China Kitchen, The Copper Kitchen Cafe, Felisa's, Mission Deli, Scaff Brothers, The Barista.

Ruth became a mother by adoption after her divorce from Terry. J. Senty.  Dexter has been teaching her to become a writer of biography.  Watching The Music Man on TCM she has been reminded of her days playing pool with Terry before they were married.

Q:  Why did she work so hard 14 March 2015?

A:  She was keeping her promise to The People of The Arkansas Valley.

Having done this S/he visited on Sunday.

My Dad

A Goff was born in Colorado and died in Alaska.  It is now the afternoon of Monday 29 September 2014.  Grandad and Ruth are sharing a pizza with Mom in her new apartment above the Opera House Pharmacy in downtown La Junta, Colorado.  Alan Goff is actually Mom's dad -- making him A. Dawn's (Jackie Yeager's) Grandad.

It is the end of September. Mom has only just begun to realize the full impact of giving away all that she owns.

Psyche M'Lady

Grandad is working at Scaff -- giving Mom a day to rest at home.  She doesn't cook but nibbles on leftovers planned from the day before, and she writes all day to her heart's complete content.  She contemplates the week ahead with Abba.  She watches as Psyche M'Lady enjoys being queen for a day over the recycling room, the back yard, and the Hess Mothers Day garden.

She has chosen one utensil, her own, from the drawer, rejecting Monty's stainless.  Monty is Grandad's step-son.  By 1:30 PM, we welcomed Missy on Facebook to help her Grandad write his autobiography

Passing ... and Changing

Grandad and I have been settling back into a comfortable routine.  We've been passing one another like two silent ships sailing a quiet sea.  "Good morning" were the only words to pass between us as we went independently to work.  He is now on his way to Scaff Bros.  They will start again today at 6:30 am.  I plan to work at home:
  1. Writing
  2. Tending the house
  3. Tending the garden
  4. Caring for pets
Tending house,  I'm restoring hospitality to all who approach by the front door and ring the doorbell with good intentions for Dr. Hess.  I also plan to change two signs.
  1. The sign on the bathroom door will read, "Library."
  2. The sign on the door to the Christmas Room will read, "Sewing."

The Sham

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sham?s=t

American English only is spoken here:
  1. Annette's adoption was not a sham.  It was never made legal because she didn't want to offend her biological mother still living in La Junta, Colorado.  Annette was already married with children and grandchildren at the time, and she met with Grandad and Mom with witnesses.  They studied The Book of Romans Chapter 8 at a breakfast ceremony.
  2. All of Mom's daughters have made a sham of adoption.
  3. Mom recently purchased a new sham for her pillow in Grandad's guest room.

Big Date

Mom had an hour to kill before her big date this weekend with Dr. Hess, aka Grandad, so she used it to do her laundry.  She carefully removed the little pins from the fishing hat that he had given her back in the day before they separated.  Today is Saturday, Mom's day to rest.  Dr. Hess is taking her to the air show in Pueblo.

Grandad

Grandad watched two movies on TCM yesterday afternoon.
  1. The Maltese Falcon
  2. Across The Pacific

Then, this morning, he pruned his own email contact lists -- deleting everyone whose email he did not recognize and also everyone who has not corresponded with him directly face to face, by phone, email or with Ruth on Facebook.

Dear JaMi,
Your mom has been serving me as my computer guru and VERY PRIVATE secretary now for several years.  This past week I have brought her home to explore with her new friends and business partners what kind of a support system she might have here when I die.  Due to RA, your mom's body has become increasingly painful for her to use, still she gets out of bed before dawn every morning to walk and write in order to maintain the connections (links) that are central to life.

This morning, she has finally mastered using the in-room coffee maker. ... far more complicated than it needs to be!!  Now I'm going to let her tell you this story in her own words.
 Dex

The person from housekeeping expressed concern.  I had to apologize.  I knew that I had behaved like a "teenager" -- neglecting to thoroughly wash my cup before using it to transfer clean water from the tap to fill the machine. Such carelessness, Dex and I have agreed, is characteristic of most teens in The United States throwing off the shackles of parental discipline.

Listening to my friends and neighbors, however, both here in New Mexico and in Colorado, I have heard a growing consensus -- especially among people of faith.  This vision is being realized by parents who are taking responsibility for the education of their young children rather than depending on public classrooms preschool through the elementary years.

Habits

Like all true Siamese cats, Psyche and R.T.Lee are loyal as dogs are when attached to a person.  This morning, as Mom wrote about habits of the heart, Grandad saw R.T.Lee sleeping at her feet.

Does Obama Care?

I left Grandad about sunset yesterday evening.  He was reading with interest from a book bag that I had given him.  It was New Years Day 2014 and The Eighth Day of Christmas.  We had spent the entire day changing our calendars, co-ordinating and confirming our work appointments for January.

The book bag contained old family pictures, correspondence and personal journals that I had written when I was still a graduate student working in San Diego.  I agree with the person that I just heard state via C-SPAN, "I'm a journalist," and I believe that a person in my position ought not advocate for but only report observations of a political candidate.

My alter ego, Carolyn Crisp-Yeager, is a well known registered Democrat.  Until last year, she was also a psychologist who never used her position to influence the way her clients voted.  I can safely say that I am well practiced in separating my professional opinions from my personal impressions and feelings.  As I write this blog, I separate my roles by using different signatures.

Paula

The morning following Grandad's birthday began with a conversation.  It evolved from Grandad's "dark time" dreaming and his concern for prisoners. This afternoon, we have been asked to fill in the connections made on Facebook by retelling an Aztec legend at http://rainbowway.org/ServiceStation.htmlWe'll continue to work on this at my office as this summer passes into autumn.

 Ruth

That was a week ago.  Today we've returned to our conversation with John in Sunday school.  To understand and participate in this conversation requires first that an interested person (like Grandad) be invested with Abba in George's Business.  Second, that person must understand that IT IS A CONVERSATION OUTSIDE OF TIME.

From "Hour of Power" and "License to Wed" on Oxygen this morning, I took Little Byte (a cell phone) on a tour of Grandad's indoor garden.  I am back on the job.  I work here in La Junta, Colorado, six days a week for Grandad and his family.  (Buy the movie if you want at http://www.amazon.com/License-Wed-Mandy-Moore/dp/B00005JPQE.)

Mad2ModernMom

IT WAS THE LAST OF APRIL!  Mom has an image of a modern mother, seen early in the morning in the Walmart parking lot.  Mom's impulse was to give the younger woman two thumbs up in spite of her driving dangerously.  The younger mom was dressed in what appeared to be a maternity shirt that was no longer filled out.  She was not wearing rings.  She was adjusting something under the hood of her car after it had failed to start.  The car did start then, and the younger woman was talking on her cellphone as she pulled out of the space.

May Day!
