The book bag contained old family pictures, correspondence and personal journals that I had written when I was still a graduate student working in San Diego. I agree with the person that I just heard state via C-SPAN, "I'm a journalist," and I believe that a person in my position ought not advocate for but only report observations of a political candidate.
My alter ego, Carolyn Crisp-Yeager, is a well known registered Democrat. Until last year, she was also a psychologist who never used her position to influence the way her clients voted. I can safely say that I am well practiced in separating my professional opinions from my personal impressions and feelings. As I write this blog, I separate my roles by using different signatures.
