While TRIAD serves one of Dexter's computers, Dexter is resting. Ruth, however, continues to play on his keyboard. Ruth is Dexter's PERSONAL friend and companion. She works with Carolyn, a retired psychologist, professional computer geek, and CEO of Covenant Programs, Incorporated to advertise certain local, middle class family owned businesses such as Bob's Upholstery, China Kitchen, The Copper Kitchen Cafe, Felisa's, Mission Deli, Scaff Brothers, The Barista.
Ruth became a mother by adoption after her divorce from Terry. J. Senty. Dexter has been teaching her to become a writer of biography. Watching The Music Man on TCM she has been reminded of her days playing pool with Terry before they were married.
