Hard Times
The history of economically hard times in the United States began with the stock market crash. Grandad was only a toddler then, and Mom had not yet been born. Now, on the winter solstice, we are helping Mom to move home. She continues to practice her profession, advocate for Covenant Programs, Incorporated, and write:

Scrooge, The Boogie Man & The Beast
Since Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol, English speaking society has become addicted not only to the story but to the coal that drove the industrial revolution. This is only one of the boogie men (addictions) that children like Grace, Tyler, Lily and Seth face in the New World.
