Christmas Resolution

Integrating a flood of letters, text messages, and phone calls from our children with Grandad's invitation will take time -- maybe all of 2014.  Yesterday we were feeling harassed.  Our children were all fighting us.  We needed recovery time, so Grandad joined me in turning off the phones, all of them except the network docking phone that we call Sam.  We each retreated into a state of laughter and mindless rest with the television.
Please forgive us as we choose to disappear for a few hours.  We are both making a resolution to defer our work to our children.  They were all born after the end of  WWII and are now engaged in their own wars.
  • Wars with one another over who gets to take care of Grandad in his old age.
  • World War 3.0
  • 9/11
Today we return to wrapping presents, enjoying our books, and writing letters.  The first letter is our response to beautiful letter of invitation from Grandad's #1 daughter -- welcoming me to her new home at Casa Del Sol.  I have decided to focus on that and accept her invitation by going with Grandad to visit this coming Tuesday.
