Grandad and I have been watching the television, each one of us for an hour or so each day. This past week, we've been observing the traditional way, in which "the people" of the United States publicly put to rest their memories of those who have died during the past year. Words (names) are important here. Those who put those words into scholarly books, we feel, deserve attention. This is what I call "George's Business."
GEORGE'S BUSINESS IS MORE THAN HISTORY! IT IS TEACHING OUR CHILDREN HOW TO READ AND WRITE. It is education that is personal, a gift that feeds all the generations within a family. While I have been mourning the loss of Sparky, Grandad has been reading to me. http://www.amazon.com/Schulz-Peanuts-Biography-David-Michaelis/dp/0060937998
