evolution

Dear John,

I am now writing about the evolution of correspondence with a community of men named John; it is, in fact, a dialogue between a man and a woman in love with science.
Here are two movies that convey our message.
MADAME CURIE (1944)   &  PHILADELPHIA (1993)

Abba and I used to sit and talk -- at first in his service station, then at home in his living room with his wife, and finally in restaurants like Mission Deli -- about movies, about the church to which we both belonged, and about "Dear John" letters on a bulletin board at Fort Leonard Wood.

In February of this year, the dialogue became a conversation with the church about healthcare.  This afternoon, while Grandad naps, Mom has been studying three more books.  The first is not in their library.  The second two are new acquisitions.
  1. Mother of Invention
  2. The Letter and the Scroll
  3. A Bowl of Red
